Teaching

Annalisa is available for workshops, training, curriculum development, and consulting on issues of decolonization, anti-oppression, anti-racism, and dialogue facilitation. She has worked with students of all ages, educators, performing arts professionals, activists, and organizers.

Rates are offered on a sliding scale depending on the size of your organization and the resources available to your community.

August 2011 - June 2012: Prep Ex! Extended Learning Teacher
DC Prep Academy, Washington, D.C.
Support and teach early childhood students (ages 3 to 9) in an after school environment.  Supervise 20 students daily and implement lesson plans to enrich student learning experience. Design and implement dramatic play lessons for 4 and 5 year old students. 

August 2011 - June 2012: Springboard! Afterschool Instructor
Inspired Teaching Charter Academy, Washington, D.C.
Support and teach students (ages 6 to 9) in an after school environment. Design and implement lesson plans for theater and literacy. Tutor struggling students.  Supervise 15-20 students daily.

August 2010 – June 2011: Special Education Assistant, AmeriCorps Volunteer
Lakeview Charter Academy, Lakeview Terrace, California
Supported students with significant learning and intellectual disabilities with one-on-one attention. Created differentiated lessons for students with various learning disabilities. Designed and taught 6th grade theatre arts class. Taught a one semester after school theatre class. Taught a one semester after school cooking class. Facilitated student environmental club. Founded, facilitated, and advised a student leadership team. Secured donations of over 450 books, shelving units, and library materials totaling over $4,500 to start a school library.
